ABOUT US
Burns McNamee
Burns earned a BS in computer science from the University of Michigan, a JD from the University of Chicago, and an MBA from UCLA. She started her career in the worlds of law and technology before transitioning to the entertainment industry. Burns spent 9 years at Comcast/NBCUniversal where she negotiated film and TV streaming deals with partners including Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Sony, Lionsgate, and Paramount. From that experience, Burns developed a brand and strategy to take advantage of how much the entertainment landscape has changed over the past decade. She then founded I'm Okay Productions.
Stephen McNamee
Like Tom Hanks and Tom Cruise before him, Stephen (a non-Tom) starred as George Gibbs in a high school production of OUR TOWN. College happened. Then, he trained through Second City and UCB and subsequently performed suboptimal improv throughout numerous fire code violation-themed theaters in NYC. Stephen wrote, cast, produced, and starred in a sold-out sketch comedy show in New York City, CASUAL AMBIGUITY. He also mistakenly graduated from the University of Chicago Law School. Afterward, Stephen wrote and filmed the comedy-horror short film, HOLD THE MAYO, and the digital short, THE POWERPUFF GIRLS: THE TEEN YEARS. Apparently, not wanting to travel far to act, Stephen created a 38-episode web series, THERE ARE NO SECOND TAKES IN LIFE...TAKE 2, with each episode filmed on location...in his apartment. In the Fall of 2024, Stephen will be directing his first feature film, MUFFLED.
